Canillo is a quiet village in the Andorran mountains, part of the famous Grandvalira ski area. There are a total of 112 slopes: 19 green, 39 blue, 30 red, and 24 black. Transportation is provided by 66 elevators. Owners of a single ski pass get access to all the opportunities of the region.

Canillo Resort is ideal for families and beginners, as simple pistes prevail here. The village is located at 1500 meters above sea level, from where you can access El Forn (2100 meters above sea level) by elevator with eight-seat cabins. There is a ski school, a kindergarten, and several restaurants. Even higher, at Pie de la Portella (2,465 meters above sea level), guests are taken by chairlift.

Not far away is the Paz de la Casa Grau Roch ski area. The Espiolets area is suitable for beginners, while the Mickey Snow Club slopes await the little ones. Extreme athletes will appreciate the steep De La Llosada slope, which can be quite dangerous.

Interesting places in Canillo

The main attraction of the resort is the Ice Palace. It has a swimming pool, gym, squash and tennis courts, sauna, solarium, and one-armed bandits for the gamblers. In the evenings, here opens one of the best discos in Andorra, which attracts young people from different parts of the principality. There is also a unique motorcycle museum in the village, and if you wish, you can visit other cities of the country by renting a car.

Tobacco Museum

Works in the building of a tobacco factory. During the tour you will see machines and tools of the early twentieth century.

Casa de la Val

The former Andorran Parliament building. To see it from the inside, you have to buy a ticket for a guided tour.

Public transportation in Canillo

Ski buses run from Canillo to Andorra la Vella and Pas de la Casa during the winter months. The interval is 20 minutes. Pass holders of any type are entitled to free transportation. Andorra's cities are connected by regular bus services.
