The village of Hintertux is nestled at the foot of the glacier bearing the same name, where perpetual snowfall is guaranteed. With approximately 60 kilometers of groomed slopes situated at altitudes ranging from 1500 to 3250 meters above sea level, both beginners and experienced athletes have plenty to explore.
If you're a fan of off-piste skiing, you can discover vast untouched areas with natural bumps near slopes 2, 13, 13a, and to the left of the Gefrorene Wand elevator.
Are you a snowboarder who thrives on tricks and stunts? Betterpark, situated beneath the Olperer peak at an altitude of 3200 meters, eagerly awaits you. It features three lines: the Easy Line for beginners (with 10 obstacles, rails, boxes, and kickers), the Medium Line (with 2 kickers and 3 boxes), and the Pro Line designed for advanced freestylers (featuring 4 kickers: 15-17-15-17 meters). Additionally, there's a super-pipe measuring 100 meters in length and 18 meters in width.
In the neighboring villages of Lanersbach and Finkenberg, you can find ice skating rinks open every day except Mondays from 15:00 to 22:00 (admission costs 4 EUR). Furthermore, there are three toboggan runs ranging from 2 to 5 kilometers in length: in Bichlalm, Hollensteinhutte, and Grieralm. Toboggan rental is available for 5 EUR.
