Hopfgarten im Brixental is an integral part of the Wilder Kaiser-Brixental ski area, one of the largest and most modern ski areas globally. Situated at an altitude of 622 meters above sea level, nestled at the base of the Hohe Salve mountain range, it boasts 65 kilometers of slopes, including 35 kilometers of red runs, 25 kilometers of blue runs, and 5 kilometers of challenging black runs. With a prevalence of easy slopes, Hopfgarten is an ideal destination for families. The resort is serviced by 14 lifts, including 5 rope tow lifts, 3 cabin lifts, and 6 chairlifts. Adjacent to the gondola, there's a kindergarten to cater to the youngest guests of the resort.
The region offers three thrilling sledding tracks and numerous ice skating rinks. Children can delight in dog sledding, while adults have the option to take to the skies in tandem paragliding flights with instructors.
For those who opt to visit the resort during the warm season, an array of activities awaits, such as guided tours in the surrounding mountains (both on foot and by bicycle), canyoning adventures, farm excursions, and much more. The Salvenaland amusement park is open and features a lake, swimming pool, playground, mini-golf course, and a summer toboggan track. You can also reach one of the nearby peaks via gondola or electric bike.
