The village of Westendorf, nestled on a plateau in the heart of the Brixen Valley in the Austrian Tyrol, earned its title as the most beautiful village in Europe in 1998, and it's a well-deserved recognition. During winter, the resort's surroundings are particularly picturesque, with snow-covered huts seemingly lifted from a postcard scattered across the mountain slopes.
Westendorf is part of one of Austria's largest skiing areas, Wilder Kaiser-Brixental, making it an ideal destination for family vacations and beginners. Among the 45 kilometers of groomed slopes, only 5% cater to expert skiers, while the majority are designed for beginners and those with intermediate skiing skills. The slopes span altitudes from 789 to 1865 meters above sea level and are served by 13 lifts with a total capacity of 17,340 people per hour. Additionally, there are 30 kilometers of cross-country skiing trails and a snow park featuring a half-pipe.
While Westendorf is not directly linked by a lift system to other resorts in the Wilder Kaiser-Brixental region, ski buses operate between them during the season. Holders of guest cards and season passes can use these ski buses free of charge. With a single ski pass, you gain access to 280 kilometers of slopes of varying difficulty levels and 91 lifts across the entire region.
