Les Deux Alpes, located at the foot of the Mont De Lans glacier, is one of the largest ski resorts in France. The area of the skiing zone is 225 hectares, 96 pistes are equipped: 12 black, 22 red, 45 blue and 17 green, access to 5 of them is free. The resort is served by 47 elevators of different types. 224 snow cannons ensure perfect coverage regardless of weather conditions.
For freestyle skiers, there is a snow park at an altitude of about 3200 meters above sea level, which is recognized as one of the best in the world. From the center of the resort, the Jandry Express elevator takes you here in 24 minutes. The pro area has a 20-meter big air, several jumps and rails. For beginners there is also a section of the park equipped with figures of the appropriate level of difficulty. In the summer of 2009, a super-pipe of 6.5 by 140 meters was built, which meets Olympic standards.
There will not be boredom and those who do not plan to skate or want to pause. In Les Deux Alpes you can rent a snowmobile, walk to an icy waterfall, fly on a paraglider in tandem with an instructor, ride on a trackless sled (toboggan), horse or dog sled, visit a skating rink or swimming pool.
