Korea has a total of 50 million people, 13 million of whom live in the capital city of Seoul. What do these people live and what kind of country is Korea? Let's find out.
K-POP
In the 1990s, Western music began to appear in Korea, which gave birth to the k-pop culture. It took Korea to a new level. Before that, few people had heard of Korean music, and the general public didn't know much about Korea itself, but thanks to k-pop, the country is now incredibly popular. The main representatives of k-pop are musical groups. The most famous of them are BTS. The motifs of their songs are motivational or dramatic, about hard life. To realize the extent of their popularity, it is enough to know one fact: tickets to the concert of such groups are very hard to get, as they buy them up in seconds.
Fathers and children
Relationships in Korean families are built on the principle of parent-child. Very rarely there is friendship between heads of families and children. It is also worth mentioning that up to a certain age a child has no opinion — what mom/dad says is the truth.
In some wealthy families it is still customary to "bring" children together to raise their status.
Preschool education is great, moms here have complete trust in the kindergartens. Schooling is hard as children are forced to be first, chase grades and cram for information. In early childhood children are allowed a lot of things, after which there is a sharp pressure to learn. High school is the beginning of rigorous learning, a time of preparation for the final exam for university. Many teenagers cannot withstand such pressure and there are known cases when it even led to suicide.
In Korea, the locals worry quite a lot about their reputation in society, which is quite stressful and stressful on the psyche.
