Iguazu Falls
On the border with Argentina, in the Iguazu Falls National Park, there is a real miracle - the Iguazu Falls complex. 275 powerful streams with a roar fall into the abyss from a height of 64 meters, drowning out everything around and raising clouds of water dust in the air.
The total length of the streams is about 2700 meters, and the height of the largest waterfall Devil's Throat is 82 meters. Numerous trails and viewing platforms of the national park allow you to appreciate the scale of this natural masterpiece and get closer to the waterfalls literally at arm's length. In addition, you can admire amazingly beautiful exotic birds in the national park.
Pantanal Swamps
In the west of Brazil, on the territory of the states of Mato Grosso and Mato Grosso do Sul, there is a huge and magnificent natural anomaly, one of the most striking sights of Brazil - the Pantanal Swamps, which are a unique ecosystem preserving thousands of species of plants and animals.
During the rainy season, the Pantanal literally submerges under water, only to reappear a few months later, to blossom and show ecotourism fans its magnificent landscapes.
Interesting fact: the territory of the Pantanal wetlands is huge - more than 190 thousand square kilometers, which is more than the area of Greece and Iceland combined.
Foz Do Iguaçu Bird Park
In the municipality of Foz Do Iguaçu is the Bird Park. It occupies an area of 17 hectares. According to the organizers' idea, the birds here live in their natural environment. The places where birds congregate are surrounded by nets, and tourists can go inside the cages and admire the birds in their natural conditions.
In the park you can see all the birds that live in Brazil. Specialists have counted about 900 species. Also, research works are constantly carried out here, the purpose of which is to create optimal conditions for the preservation of especially rare breeds. In addition to birds, in the park you can see exotic butterflies, striking with their brightness.
Tropical forests of the Amazon
Another of the bright natural attractions of Brazil is the Amazon forests. They have a second name, Amazonia, which is more common in Brazil.
These broad-leaved forests with high humidity are strikingly beautiful, they cover an area of 5.5 million square kilometers. This is 50% of the area of all the tropical forests available on the planet.
Currently, 40,000 species of plants and 3,000 species of fish found in the Amazon forests have been described, but scientists tend to believe that this is not complete data on the flora and fauna of the area.
It should be taken into account that there are many predators and poisonous snakes in the forests, so independent travel is not advisable.
