How to get from the airport "Ciampino" to Rome?

Where not to stay in Rome?

Termini

The area around Termini Station has extremely cheap hotels, but the atmosphere is not great, to say the least. It's noisy and there's virtually nothing Italian about it. It doesn't feel like you're in beautiful Rome at all. Homeless and drunk people spoil the impression of the city in 5 seconds.

Tor Bella Monaca

If Termini is just not too comfortable, then Tor Bella Monaca is a really dangerous neighborhood. It's a crime-ridden neighborhood where you can easily get mugged.

Rome: useful tips for tourists

• Save on transportation and museum tickets. Buy a Roma Pass tourist card for three days (€38). With it, you can use public transportation for free and visit many museums without queues or entrance fees.
• Take advantage of everything that's free, save your budget for other things. There are many places in Rome that are free to enter.
