1. Aquarium

The world's largest aquarium dedicated to the inhabitants of the Mediterranean Sea, with a collection of about 11,000 fish, polyps and jellyfish. The main part of the aquarium, the huge oceanarium, is home to visitors' favorites - sharks of several species. You can get in close proximity to them by walking through a glass tunnel about 80 meters long. All visitors can watch the feeding of the toothy predators, and the bravest can swim with them.

Children are not allowed to participate in the extreme entertainment, but there is a program called "Sleeping with Sharks" for them.

Young explorers are also welcome at the Explora! interactive center, which recreates three ecosystems of the Mediterranean coast: the marshes of the Ebro Delta, a corner of the Costa Brava and an underwater cave in the Medes Islands. In this interactive museum, children learn about the world through play: stomping on mud and studying their footprints, tasting sea water, studying the structure of reefs and the processes of a shipwreck.

The area called Planeta Aqua is home to living organisms that in the course of evolution have been able to adapt to difficult conditions such as extremely low/high temperatures or impenetrable darkness: Humboldt penguins, piranhas, turtles, iguanas, jellyfish and deep-sea fish. The ONGOING exhibition is dedicated to the exploration of the underwater world: you can see the tools used by scientists and climb into a submarine.

Ticket price: €25 for adults, €10 for children 3-4 years old, €18 for children 5-10 years old.

2. Zoo

There are hippos, rhinos, sea lions, elephants, giraffes, crocodiles, kangaroos, tigers, as well as a lot of smaller animals and birds - about 2,200 animals of 315 species. There is also a dolphinarium with a show in the morning.

You can book a hotel in Barcelona with a discount of up to -65% on the website.

It takes about 2 hours to walk the shortened route, which includes only the most popular animals, and about 5 hours to see the entire zoo. If you get tired of walking, take a ride on a steam train or rent a golf cart.

In the heat many animals hide and sleep, in the cold season some of the inhabitants move into closed enclosures - choose the time for your visit carefully to avoid disappointment.

Ticket price: for adults - €21,40, for children 3-12 years - €13, children under 3 years - free of charge.

3. Tibidabo Amusement Park

One of Spain's oldest parks is located on top of the mountain of the same name, offering panoramic views of Barcelona and the surrounding area. There is a retro Ferris wheel, which you can ride to take beautiful pictures of the city.

The park regularly hosts puppet shows, colorful parades and traditional Catalan fire processions.

4. Magic Fountain of Montjuïc

One of the most popular attractions - about 2.5 million people visit the show per year. Thousands of jets wave upwards to classical and popular melodies, compositions from favorite movies and cartoons, periodically changing color. The program always starts with "Barcelona" - the unofficial anthem of the city performed by Freddie Mercury and Monserrat Caballé.

5. CosmoCaixa Science Museum

A must-see for curious children and their parents! Young explorers will visit the Amazon forests, visit the planetarium, take part in experiments, learn the laws of physics, math and other sciences in a playful way. Here the learning process is much more interesting than at school.

The collection includes dinosaur skeletons, a pavilion with scientific instruments, a mini-zoo, an aquarium and a huge number of interactive exhibits, with which you can, for example, call lightning or provoke a sandstorm. But the most vivid impression on visitors is made by the tropical forest, located on several levels, where piranhas, crocodiles, exotic insects and poisonous snakes live, and from time to time streams of water fall from the ceiling, simulating a downpour.

Ticket price: for adults - €6.

6. Camp Nou Stadium and FC Barcelona Museum
