  • Main Street USA. The road leading from the park entrance to Sleeping Beauty Castle is lined with restaurants, cafes, and souvenir stores, as well as a train station where the pleasure train leaves. The buildings are decorated in the style of the XIX-early XX century, making the street similar to the streets of Marceline, Missouri, where Walt Disney grew up.
  • Discoveryland. Welcome to Discoveryland, where the future has already arrived! Inspired by Verne (Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea, From the Earth to the Moon) and the iconic Star Wars, the most popular attraction here is the roller coaster Space Mountain: Mission.

Daily shows are held with the participation of favorite Disney cartoon characters.

Walt Disney Studios Park will be interesting for those who want to get behind the scenes and learn more about the process of movie production: the work of stuntmen, creating special effects, etc. Here is one of the most popular attractions of the complex - "roller coaster" Rock 'n' Roller Coaster, the ride on which is accompanied by Aerosmith hits. The kids who have not yet grown up to extreme entertainment will be interested to meet cartoon characters: Mickey and Minnie Mouse, as well as cowboy Woody and Buzz Lightyear from "Toy Story".

The only thing that can spoil your experience during the season is the queues, which can be several hours long at the most popular attractions. Fastpass - a free ticket, which gives you the right to ride the chosen attraction within the time interval specified on it, will help to shorten the wait. There is one more option - the excursion "Disneyland without queue", which gives you VIP-accompaniment for the whole day - a pass to any attractions out of the queue and a discount on purchases.

Planning to visit the park with a small child? You won't have to stand in line twice! The Baby Switch system allows the second parent to enter the attraction as soon as the first parent leaves.

Don't forget to bring your own food and water - this way you will save money and avoid queues at cafes. There are picnic areas where you can eat everything you bring.

For the youngest visitors to the park there is a steam train, water slides, French carousels, a driving range and several playgrounds with rope structures, slides and swings.

Zoo

One of the largest zoos in the world underwent an expensive reconstruction and was reopened to the public in 2014. Animals can be seen here in their natural environment: conditions close to the African savannah, European forests, tropical jungles, pampas, etc. have been recreated. Thanks to comfortable living conditions, even those animals that are reluctant to breed in captivity regularly bear offspring.

The zoo has the endangered Saharan oryx and Grevy's zebra. Among the more familiar ones there are lemurs, anteaters, wolves, lions, giraffes, penguins, sea lions - representatives of about 1,000 species.

Visitors are delighted by the artificial rock, which rises to 65 meters. On its top there is a viewing platform, and on the slopes there are animals grazing whose natural habitat is the mountains.

What else to visit with kids in Paris

Of course, we have not listed all the options that will be of interest to young explorers of Paris. During the rain, for example, you can pass the time at the Grévin Museum (10 Boulevard Montmartre), the Museum of Magic (11 Rue Saint-Paul) or the Chocolate Museum (28 Boulevard de Bonne Nouvelle).

If your child has a passion for science, take them to the Palace of Discovery (Avenue Franklin-D.-Roosevelt), where complex laws and phenomena are explained in a playful way. And those who dream of airplanes will appreciate the Museum of Aviation and Astronautics at Paris-Le Bourget Airport. We also recommend taking a children's tour of the Musée d'Orsay - the best way to familiarize children from 6 to 14 years old with the works of the best representatives of Impressionism.

img

If your child loves animals, besides the zoo, you should visit the safari park in Thoiry (Rue du Pavillon de Montreuil) or Georges Ville's farm in Paris (1 Route du Pesage). At the farm, a city child can experience the atmosphere of village life: milk a cow, make butter from cream by hand, learn how to spin or harvest from a bed.

There are good children's playgrounds with amusement rides in the Bois de Boulogne (quite safe during the day) and the Luxembourg Gardens.

Where to eat

Here are a few parent-recommended places where you'll find kid-friendly menus, high chairs, play areas and summer playgrounds:

  • Les 400 Coups (51 Rue de Bercy);
  • Hippopotamus Grill (286 rue de Vaugirard);
  • La Baleine café (47 Rue Cuvier);
  • Cafézoïde (92bis Quai de la Loire).
