1. Lviv

Lviv is beautiful at any time of year, but in spring this city is especially attractive to tourists: ancient churches, winding streets filled with the aroma of coffee, and all this framed by emerald greenery and flowers. Spring is the most suitable time for long walking tours and leisurely strolls. At this time of year, everything around wakes up from its winter sleep and breathes easily and freshly.

2. Carpathians

If you're not attracted by the prospect of spending the holidays in the city, go to nature. The Carpathians are the best option for an active (or not so active) vacation.

img

There you can conquer mountain peaks, ride around mountain rivers, hike through the nearby forests. Carpathians offer recreation for every taste. If you want - walk noisily and cheerfully or on the contrary - rent a small house and enjoy silence and measured rest with your relatives.

3. Sofiyivsky Park, Uman

Arboretum "Sofiyivsky" in Uman is an ideal option for those who want to get out into nature, but are not a fan of "wild" recreation and especially long trips.

The park impresses with its beauty: there are ponds, shady alleys, sunny glades with pavilions, and flowers, flowers, flowers! Of course, you won't be able to grill a kebab here, it's a protected area after all, but you can always have a picnic. We also advise you to take a boat ride along the real underground river, or go boating or catamaran sailing on the local lake.

4. Valley of Narcissi, Khust

An absolutely enchanting sight opens up before those who are determined to overcome a long journey and still get to the town of Khust in Western Ukraine, and more precisely - to the Valley of Narcissi.

The sea of white and yellow daffodil bells fills the air with a marvelous fragrance, and it's just a beautiful sight to behold! Daffodils bloom from May 1 to May 25 - you should find out more details closer to the dates, and access to the valley is open from 8:00 to 21:00.

5. Kamianets-Podilskyi

Fans of festivals will surely enjoy Kamyanets, because it is there that the traditional "Historical Picnic" will take place in May, from the 1st to the 3rd. During this period, the main attraction of the city - Kamianets-Podilskyi Castle will turn into an ideal location for family vacations. Adults and children will be able to feel themselves real craftsmen. The organizers offer to learn pen calligraphy, grind flour for bread, search for ancient artifacts at the specially equipped "Archaeological site", weave a tapestry or forge an arrow. In general, you won't be bored.

6. Uzhgorod

People come here for one thing and one thing only: cherry trees. From the end of April to the beginning of May, Uzhgorod's avenues of sakura trees turn into continuous corridors of foamy pink blossoms. Incredible beauty!

img

But it is not only sakura that Uzhgorod is famous for: you should definitely visit its old part with its unique medieval atmosphere and a slight Hungarian touch.

7. Mukachevo

And while we're talking about Transcarpathia, don't forget about Mukachevo, which is famous for its castles.

img

The beautiful Palanok and the exquisitely austere Schönborn Palace with beautiful gardens will take you back in time, while the ancient streets of the city and delicious Western Ukrainian cuisine will allow you to fully enjoy the present.

8. Buky Canyon

Not many people know about this place, and for nothing. Buky Canyon is located in the eponymous village of Buky, Cherkasy region, and it is worth visiting for two reasons.

img

First of all, it is a very beautiful place: granite cliffs overgrown with trees and a rushing stream at the bottom of the canyon make it look like a fjord, and the ruins of an old water mill offer a beautiful view. But it is also a great place for mountaineering lovers - here you can climb to the top of steep cliffs.

9. Migiya village, Mykolaiv region

Migiya village is located on the bank of the Southern Bug, not far from Pervomaysk. It is a paradise for rafting connoisseurs: the canyon of the Southern Bug forms here as many as 12 rapids!

img

But even if you are not going to conquer the turbulent streams, here you can have a great rest among picturesque landscapes, have a picnic or go out with a tent for a few days. It's easy to find a suitable spot here.
