Guide to Bohinj

Virtual tour in Bohinj

The Bohinj ski resort seamlessly combines the Vogel and Kobla ski areas, situated just 12 kilometers apart. During the season, a convenient free bus service connects these two centers. Vogel Ski Resort, nestled within the National Park and adjacent to Lake Bohinj, stands out as one of Slovenia's rare resorts where snow remains until mid-April. Covering 78 hectares, it offers 22 kilometers of slopes, including 9.5 kilometers of easy and 12.5 kilometers of challenging terrain. The Vogel Snow Park on-site is regarded as the country's finest, featuring a variety of kickers, rails, boxes, and other obstacles of varying difficulty levels. Operating hours are from 9:30 AM to 3:45 PM daily, weather permitting. On the other hand, the Kobla-2864 Center, located in Bohinjska Bistrica and a short drive from Lake Bohinj, holds the distinction of being the only resort in Slovenia accessible by train (with rail routes from Koper to Nova Gorica and from Ljubljana to Jesenice passing through). It boasts an impressive 940-meter altitude difference and employs artificial surface installations when natural snowfall is lacking. The resort offers three chairlifts, three rope tow elevators, a ski school, and equipment rentals for visitors' convenience.
