Flims is situated at an elevation of about 1100 meters above sea level, nestled at the base of Flimserstein mountain. It's part of the renowned Alpine Arena ski area, which encompasses the nearby resorts of Laax and Falera. These three resorts share a single season pass, and during the ski season, convenient free shuttle buses connect them. In total, the area boasts 180 kilometers of ski slopes, including 63 kilometers of beginner-friendly blue runs, 71 kilometers of intermediate red runs, and 46 kilometers of challenging black runs. Flims offers visitors access to 58 ski slopes of varying difficulty levels, as well as 60 kilometers of scenic cross-country skiing trails. Snowboarders can enjoy a dedicated fun park with a half-pipe and a freestyle academy, while freeriders have ample opportunities in the vast off-piste areas. The surroundings of Cassons peak, situated at 2675 meters above sea level and accessible via the Cassons lift, are particularly popular among off-piste skiing enthusiasts. From Flims, you can ascend to the Plaun area at 1630 meters above sea level using the Arena Express gondola. From there, you can continue to Nagens at 2127 meters above sea level or reach the summit of La Siala mountain at 2810 meters above sea level. The highest point in the region is the Vorab Gletscher glacier at 3018 meters above sea level, which is technically part of Laax.
