Argentina has a VAT refund system. So look for the Global Blue Tax Free Shopping logo in store windows. When you pay for your purchase, ask for a Tax Free Form. There are two types of receipt, blue and white.
Fill in the required boxes in block letters of the Latin alphabet. Remember that an incomplete Tax Free Form will result in the denial of your refund. Please allow enough time for the tax refund process before your departure at the airport.
Before you check-in, go to the customs desk with your completed Tax Free Form, passport, receipts and purchases to have your form stamped. Do not put your purchases in your luggage as you will need to show them to the customs officer. Without customs confirmation, there is no refund. Go to the tax refund counter with the Global Blue logo.
Present your completed stamped receipt to receive your refund on your card or in cash. Or if you are in a hurry, you can mail your completed stamped receipt to the processing center and get your tax refund on your credit card. This will be the VAT amount less an administration fee.
