The ski resort of Schladming has snow for half the year. From the end of November to April you can ski or enjoy snowboarding. The most favorable conditions are from December to March, as the snow cover is as dense and smooth as possible.
Schladming's ski slopes are perfect for beginners and advanced skiers alike. The resort is considered most suitable for family vacations or training sessions.
There are a total of about 75 kilometers of blue runs, 118 kilometers of red runs and 30 kilometers of black runs in the vicinity of Schladming. The 7.7 km long ski piste ranks first in terms of length. It runs from the top of the Hochvurzen downhill to Rormoos. All ski slopes in Schladming are perfectly prepared. Not only are they wide enough and perfectly smooth, but they are also marked out in detail so that they can be followed smoothly.
If you are an experienced and extreme skier, then you should visit the Dachstein Glacier. Schladming's ski slopes on its summits are covered in dense snow all year round.
