Copenhagen International Airport is located on the island of Amager in Denmark, 8 kilometers southeast of Copenhagen, in the town of Kastrup. It is one of the largest airports in Northern Europe in terms of passenger traffic and seventeenth in the whole of Europe. In this article we will tell you all the possible ways to get to the city.
How to get to the city center
Public transportation
It takes 20-30 minutes to get to the heart of Copenhagen.
Bus
A map of bus stops is available on the official airport page. Buses run every 15-20 minutes, and more details on the schedule can be found on the site.
There are four bus lines:

Routes. The bus numbers are 5A (Copenhagen Airport- Husum Torv), 35 (The airport, International- DRByen St.), 36 - (The airport, International- Nøragersmindevej), 888 - (The airport, International- Århus). The stop in the city center is called City Centre.

Ticket price. You can buy a ticket in special machines. The fare system in Copenhagen is divided into zones. The price of a travel ticket depends on the number of parts of the city to be crossed:
- - for 2 zones - 3,2 EUR;
- - for 3 zones - 4,8 EUR.
Train
Express trains depart from the second station, which is located inside Terminal 3.

Travel time: 15 minutes. Trains depart every 10 minutes for the city.

The cost: The pass is about 4.8 EUR.

Where to buy: You can buy a ticket from a special machine at the station.
Metro
The city center can be reached by metro (yellow line):

Time: It takes 15 minutes to get to Copenhagen, and the station is called Nørreport. Trains run every 5 minutes during the day and 20 minutes at night.

Station: The Lufthavnen metro stop is located at Terminal 3 (free buses run between the port terminals).

Cost: A travel ticket costs about 5 EUR and can be purchased at special machines.
Taxis
Taxi drivers wait for passengers near the arrival halls. It takes only 15-20 minutes to get to the city center by car, and the cost is around 33-40 EUR.
Car Rental
Car rental shops are located in the port area. You can book a car in advance at rentalcars.com.
How to get to the train station
Public transportation
Copenhagen Central Station can be reached in 35 minutes by bus or train from the airport. Get off at the Central Station stop.
Bus
There are four bus lines, which we described above. The price for a bus pass is around 5 EUR.
Train
Express trains run from Kastrup Airport to Copenhagen Central Station. For information on where to buy a ticket and how to find the station, as well as the fare, see above.
Taxis and car rentals
You can also get to the central train station by cab or rental car. See the previous section for information on these modes of transportation.
