Tourists are invariably attracted to Nepal by two things — the mountains and ancient architecture. In this mountainous country, hidden from prying eyes, lie ancient cities and the most significant holy sites in Asia.
Dal — boiled rice with lentils and vegetable curry. Sometimes fresh or pickled soybeans are added to the dish.
Wheat porridge and potatoes — potatoes here are usually boiled or baked whole. Yak milk butter is added to the porridge.
Dahi-chiura — this is when crushed rice or wheat is added to yogurt.
Flatbreads — made from rice, corn, or wheat flour. They are served with almost every dish.
