The best time for a romantic tour to Japan is, of course, spring. Specifically, the cherry blossom season. The Japanese themselves contemplate cherry blossoms in an almost meditative state, and it's easy to understand. Another, equally beautiful and lyrical phenomenon is the red leaves of autumn maples.
