Chichen Itza, Yucatan

Sacred Cenote, Yucatan

A natural limestone well filled with underground water is located in Chichen Itza, 300 meters north of the main buildings of the city. A sacred cenote, it served as a sacrifice to the Rain God and today is a favorite dive site for divers. The sinkhole is over 60 meters in diameter and about 50 meters deep.

Mayan city, Yucatan

Tulum differs from other Mayan cities by its high wall, built by the Indians to protect them from the raids of northern nomadic peoples. The most massive urban structure closest to the sea, the temple and fortress El Castillo, according to archaeologists, could perform the function of a lighthouse. Copper Canyon, northwestern Chihuahua state

Copper Canyon National Park consists of a series of separate and interconnected canyons and gorges formed over many millions of years by six rivers.

The park got its name because of the colorta moss growing on the slopes of one and a half kilometers of canyon. Deep dangerous gorges connected to each other by six picturesque rivers, giant cacti and waterfalls are impressive to the core.

Giant Crystal Cave, Chihuahua

Huge gypsum crystals began to form about twenty-six million years ago. Growing in the cave at a humidity of 100% and a temperature of 58 degrees Celsius, the "rays" reach a length of eleven meters and weigh a couple of dozen tons. It's an unreal sight!
