This place has it all! Delicious food, diverse architecture, hospitable people, and most importantly - coziness. The Danes call it the recipe for their happiness, because very often in the hustle and bustle of a big city, it is coziness that is missing.

Copenhagen is located on three islands. The climate is temperate maritime with mild winters and rather cool summers.

It is easy to get to the city from the airport by public transportation. The cheapest way is to choose an electric train, which will take you directly to the Central Railway Station in just 15 minutes. Overnight accommodation should be taken care of in advance. It is better to choose accommodation in the center, in walking distance from the main attractions. This way you can save more money and time for walking around the city.

Elegant royal palaces, the Nyhavn promenade, where the famous fairy tale writer Hans Christian Andersen lived, the Round Tower, which houses one of the oldest observatories in Europe, the world-famous statue of the Little Mermaid.... Copenhagen has a lot of places that can and should be visited. The main thing is to plan your trip properly so that you don't miss out on anything. You can start with a city tour, during which a local guide will briefly tell you all the most interesting things about Copenhagen. If you want something unusual, you can go on a bicycle tour.

You should start exploring the city at the Town Hall Square, which is located in the center, near the train station. Every day at 10 a.m., groups gather here for free city tours. To get on one of these, you need to find a man with a red or green umbrella in front of the Town Hall who will give you all the information you need. The tour lasts about three hours and is conducted in English or Spanish.

This walk is probably the best way to start exploring the city. You will be guided through all the main sights, told interesting historical facts, told what to pay attention to, and recommended good places where you can have a tasty and inexpensive dinner.

It is also worth paying attention to the tour of "alternative" Copenhagen, which will show you the dark side of this candy-fabulous city. You will be guided through the streets of the now fashionable Vesterbro district , where the mafia, drug addiction and prostitution once flourished. Now it's a hipster hotspot with cozy coffee shops, unconventional design studios, atmospheric flea markets and the best breweries in town.

You can book a hotel in Copenhagen with a discount of up to -65% on the website.

If you are a true connoisseur of delicious food, you should definitely visit the Kedbyuen district, which means "meat quarter" in Danish. In the 50s of the twentieth century, covered meat pavilions were built here to prevent spontaneous meat trading on the city streets and to avoid unsanitary conditions. When the need for this market disappeared, the premises were handed over to restaurateurs and gallery owners. Now, the former butcher shops are home to the city's trendiest restaurants and exhibition centers of the city, successfully combining the brutality of the butcher's quarter with modern design. Recommended for a visit.

The Free City of Christiania is a self-proclaimed state within a state, which was founded by hippies in a Copenhagen neighborhood in the 1970s. The territory is not subject to local governing bodies. Here live artists, sculptors and just creative unremarkable persons for whom nothing is more important than art and the spirit of freedom. Inside the city you will find unconventional art objects, amazing graffiti, souvenir stores, as well as cafes and stores where hashish and some light drugs are freely available.

Copenhagen is a very progressive and multifaceted city. Royal palaces and futuristic modern buildings coexist here. Here you can taste sweet pickled herring and candy flavored with pepper and black bread. Subway trains are driverless, electric cars charge along the streets, and the city itself can rightfully be called the bicycle capital of Scandinavia. It's worth a visit to realize how important it is to be able to enjoy life and keep the warmth of comfort when the world around you is rushing forward at breakneck speed.
