LX Factory

LX Factory is a real island of creativity in the heart of Lisbon. Back in the mid-19th century it was one of the first weaving mills in the city, and today it is an entire factory, and it produces...Well, it produces a lot of things. There are many young companies concentrated here, which are ready to introduce you to the results of their activities - from unusual furniture to unique paintings.

LX Factory

But above all, LX Factory is a cultural platform. It regularly hosts movie screenings, creative meetings, concerts, performances, exhibitions, and literary events. And it is always full of creative young people, who do not just come to watch and listen, but can easily pick up a paintbrush and paint withshades in the courtyard. On this huge territory there is also a restaurant where you can eat delicious food at quite an affordable price, and a large three-story bookstore, from which it is simply impossible to leave empty-handed. All in all, it's the #1 place to visit.

Address: R. Rodrigues Faria, 103.

Opening hours: daily from 9:00 to 04:00.

Restaurante Santo André

For lovers of a good and tasty time outdoors, there is no better place than Restaurante Santo André, you will not find a better place than Restaurante Santo André. This wonderful café with its wide and picturesque terrace and authentic Portuguese cuisine is a local favorite. And, while it hasn't really been discovered by tourists yet, it's quiet and very affordable.

Santo André Restaurant

You can come to this restaurant for breakfast, a hearty dinner, or just to sit down with a glass of wine or a glass of beer. Many national dishes from meat, fish, baked vegetables, original soups, sauces and pies are served here. You don't have to wait long to order, and the average check for a full dinner with a main course, a drink and a dessert won't cost you more than €10-15. And if you choose a place closer to the edge of the terrace, you can watch the famous Lisbon streetcars passing by.

Address: R. da Costa do Castelo, 91.

Opening hours: daily from 9:00 to 02:00.

A Tasca do Chico

Tasca do Chico

You can enjoy moving songs, learn a little more about their history and the people who have won the hearts of thousands of Portuguese with their singing, and just have a good time at A Tasca do Chico. This is the oldest tavern in the city, which has been restored and is lined with posters of Fado singers and fans from different times, where in the evenings you can listen to and, if you wish, learn to sing Fado yourself.

Wine Fountain

The center point of the place is the Mother Water Fountain, hidden between the cellar floors. At Chafariz do Vinho you can buy a bottle or two, you can taste it, or you can sit down and enjoy carpaccio, cheese plate, mussels and oysters, and various types of meats. Bertrand

This does not affect the assortment of literature: it is really impressive here - huge halls with a large selection of all kinds of literature, including English-language literature. Botequim

A time-tested institution. It is impossible to say otherwise about Botequim - cafe, which was opened in 1968 by Portuguese writer Natalia Correia. It was here that the whole color of Lisbon's culture gathered in those days: writers, musicians, philosophers, artists. Although the establishment was closed for some time after Natalia's death, today it once again gathers the same creative public.

Botequim

The interior retains its former retro ambience: wide armchairs, wooden tables, antique chests of drawers, and bookshelves. In the evenings, poetry evenings and musical concerts are also organized here, which you can find out about in advance on the institution's poster. Tea, coffee, various desserts and light snacks are served here.

If you should look for interesting souvenirs in Lisbon, it is in A Vida Portuguesa. This is not just a gift store, but rather a very memorable place where time-honored items are sold, which the townspeople themselves call "my grandmother's store".

Portuguese Life

You can find a lot of things here: clothes, books, cutlery, dishes, soap, perfume, jewelry and many, many things you can't even imagine
