Santa Eulalia del Rio was not so long ago a small village in Ibiza. It is located on the shores of the only river in Ibiza, the Rio Santa Eulalia. Until the mid-90s of XX century regulars of this resort were mostly hippies. Flower children liked the rest on the most party of the Balearic Islands. They paved the way for travelers from all over the world.
Today Santa Eulalia del Rio has become a developed resort, where there is everything you need for recreation as young people and families with children. The beaches adjacent to the village are perfectly equipped, and the confluence of the river with the sea creates a special atmosphere here.
The main feature of Santa Eulalia del Rio is its nature. The town is literally buried in greenery, ranging from traditional pine trees to a variety of shrubs. Gentle hills with green slopes rise up around the resort. On one of these hills, Puch de Missa, is the ancient church of Santa Eulalia, the symbol of the town. The village was once named after the patron saint of the area.
