Public transportation in the Swedish capital may not be the cheapest, but it's certainly worth it! Stockholm's transportation services are known for their exceptional quality, offering punctuality, cleanliness, comfort, and safety.
Stockholm's local transportation system encompasses subways, buses, streetcars, as well as commuter and regional trains. This well-coordinated network is collectively referred to as Storstockholms Lokaltrafik (SL).
Transportation Costs
For transportation in Stockholm, you have the option of using a 1- to 30-day pass known as the SL Travel Card, or you can purchase single-use tickets, which are available at ticket kiosks and vending machines.
A 24-hour pass, valid for buses and the upscale Stockholm subway, is priced at 115 SEK. If you prefer a 72-hour pass, it costs 230 SEK, while a 7-day pass is available for 300 SEK. For a single ticket to travel within the same zone, the minimum price is 36 SEK.
