Champery's ski resort is an excellent choice for beginners and those who are new to skiing. The resort features three ski schools: The French Ski School, Ecole de Ski et Snowboard Internationale, and Ecole de Snowboard Emery. The first school alone boasts around 120 ski instructors.
During the peak season, these ski schools are in high demand, particularly from beginners eager to learn skiing and snowboarding. Therefore, it's advisable to sign up in advance to secure your spot. These schools offer instruction not only for adults but also for children, allowing them to grasp the fundamentals of skiing.
Both young learners and adults can opt for group or private lessons when learning to ski. Unless you're willing to spend a significant amount, group lessons are usually the more economical choice. For a five-day package of group skiing lessons, you can expect to pay around CHF 200, with each lesson lasting approximately two hours. Private lessons, on the other hand, come at a slightly higher rate of CHF 63 per hour.
