The villages of Kran, Montana, and Aminon together form the largest resort in the Swiss canton of Vallee. This area hosts annual World Cup cross-country skiing competitions.
Crans-Montana's slopes are well-suited for skiers and snowboarders with intermediate skill levels, offering wide and gently sloping terrain. For more experienced enthusiasts, there's the challenging slope from La Tza to Plumachit, as well as runs at Bella Lui and La Toula. The resort features a 25,000 m² terrain park, a toboggan run, and 50 kilometers of flat pistes.
Crans-Montana boasts two outdoor ice rinks, including Friday night ice discos from 20:00 to 22:00. You'll also find swimming pools, including one with sea water, and beauty salons. The resort's sports complex offers activities such as tennis, squash, golf, and bowling. For the more adventurous, there are opportunities to paraglide, take helicopter rides over the mountain peaks, or go on hot air balloon adventures.
The region is renowned for its sporting events. In January, you can witness the La Foulee Blanche ski relay, while February hosts the Crans-Montana snow games, an open winter sports competition. Additionally, there's the International Balloon Festival, attracting participants from all over Europe.
