Public transportation in Tanzania, familiar to our tourists, is available in major cities. It is represented by buses and minibuses. As for other settlements, public transportation in them is not systematic, without special observance of traffic rules. Such public transportation is represented by pickup trucks, rickshaws and shuttle buses.
The most comfortable and convenient buses are considered to be those of Scandinavian. They are equipped with air conditioning and comfortable seats, ensuring a comfortable ride for tourists.
If you're in a more central location, you can use Dala-Dala, which are special buses built on truck chassis and serve as a form of public transportation. While Dala-Dala is an affordable option, it may lack minimal comfort.
In suburban destinations, small pickup trucks are a common mode of transportation. They are popular for their speed and affordability, although they may not offer much comfort.
