The first thing most tourists go to Cha Am for is the sea. Here it is truly worthy of a royal vacation - the coast of the city is considered one of the cleanest in all of Thailand. Special attention deserves Saphan Hin - a pedestrian street that goes directly into the sea. After a leisurely promenade along it we recommend to look at the fishing pier and fish market, located nearby.
Of course, as in any locality in Thailand, in Cha Ama enough religious buildings. Many of them are truly unique. For example, Boat Temple - a temple erected in the form of a full-fledged ship of faith on land. Also, only in Cha Ama, visitors will be greeted by a six-armed snow-white Buddha. In order to see it, one must stop by the Neranchararam temple. Another architectural highlight of the resort is the statue of King Naresuan. It is surrounded by several dozen colorful sculptures of roosters, symbolizing the warlike retinue.
A crowning feature of Cha Am's scenic nature are several forest parks. The most notable of them is located along the road leading to the neighboring famous resort of Hua Hin. It is in Hua Hin, as well as in Bangkok or Pattaya, which are two or three hours drive from Cha Am, you can always look for those who miss the noise of civilization.
