Krabi Bus Station serves as the primary transportation hub in the area, connecting travelers to nearly every province in Thailand. The bus station is situated 12 kilometers away from the provincial capital, Krabi Town.
Routes
Buses from various cities, including Phuket and Bangkok, converge at Krabi Bus Station, making it the central transfer point for those heading to nearby beaches and Lenta Island. Travelers then proceed to their final destination using tuk-tuks, songteos, or minivans.
Some provinces like Surat Thani, Hat Yai, and Satun are exclusively accessible via Krabi Bus Station, as they are not as commonly visited destinations.
Surrounding Beaches
For those planning to visit Ao Nang and Nopparat Tara beaches, there is a parking area for public songteos (shared pick-up trucks) and motorcycle taxis at the bus station.
To reach Railay Beach, you'll need to transfer to a boat in Ao Nang.
Ticket Prices
- The fare for a songteo is 60 THB.
- For a mototaxi, it's 200 THB.
Trip Time
- The journey to Krabi Town from the bus station takes about 10 minutes.
- To the beaches, it's a little longer, around 45 minutes.
Motorcycle taxis are quicker but less comfortable, especially if you have luggage. Tourists often consider it safer and more reliable to travel by public shuttle bus rather than using shuttle buses offered by travel agencies.
