How to get to Bukovel: Modes of Transportation
By Train
The railway stations closest to Bukovel are Ivano-Frankivsk (110 km away) and Lviv (245 km away). Kiev offers regular train services to these cities, and international travelers can access the capital directly from Moscow and Minsk.
You can also reach the resort from Vorokhta (21 km away) and Yaremche (40 km away), where train number 143, Kiev-Vorokhta, arrives. Additionally, transfers to Bukovel are organized from all nearby towns, with regular buses serving the resort.
By Bus
Regular bus services, with up to 12 daily departures, run from Ivano-Frankivsk to the Polyanitsa bus station, which is the closest one to Bukovel. Flights to Bukovel are also available from Lviv, Lutsk, Kutov, and Zbarazh.
By Plane
The fastest and most comfortable way to reach Bukovel is by air. The international airports closest to the resort are located in Lviv and Ivano-Frankivsk.
Transfer
Due to the relatively distant locations of the railway station and airport from Bukovel, transfer services have gained immense popularity among tourists. These services are provided by private companies.

The most convenient route to the resort, especially if you're coming from Kyiv, is through Ivano-Frankivsk (96 km away). Follow the T0906 highway to Nadvirna, then turn onto H09 through Yaremche and Tatariv. The travel time is approximately 2 hours.
Alternatively, if you're coming from Chernivtsi, you can take the N10 route (162 km away). Drive through Kolomyia and Delyatin, and your travel time will be around 2 hours and 45 minutes.
If you're traveling from Uzhgorod, take the N09 highway through Mukachevo and Rakhiv. The journey will take approximately 4 hours and 40 minutes, covering a distance of 255 km.
How to Get to Bukovel from Major Cities
Ivano-Frankivsk - Bukovel
You can reach Bukovel from Ivano-Frankivsk by bus in just 1.5 hours. Buses run frequently, with approximately 10-12 departures per day. However, please note that the last bus leaves at 17:30. The ticket price starts from 90 UAH.
An alternative option is to take an electric train from Ivano-Frankivsk to Yaremche or Vorokhta, although this is most convenient for travelers who have arranged a transfer, as you may need to take another bus from the train station.
Taking a taxi from Ivano-Frankivsk to Bukovel is significantly more expensive than public transportation, with prices starting from 800 UAH for a car with up to 4 people. The distance from Ivano-Frankivsk to Bukovel is 110 km.
Kiev - Bukovel
From the capital, you can reach Bukovel by train or by plane. Optimal flights are available via UIA to Lviv (with prices starting from 980 UAH one way) or to Ivano-Frankivsk (starting from 1700 UAH).
If you choose the train, it's recommended to travel from Kiev to Bukovel via Ivano-Frankivsk. The high-speed train 749 K will take approximately 8 hours (with a ticket price of 335 UAH for one seat in 2nd class).
Upon arriving in Ivano-Frankivsk or Lviv, you will need to take a shuttle bus to Bukovel (from Ivano-Frankivsk starting at 90 UAH, from Lviv starting at 250 UAH).
You can also take train number 143 from Kyiv to Vorokhta (with prices starting at 650 UAH for one seat in a compartment). The distance from Kiev to Bukovel is 640 km.
Lviv - Bukovel
There are limited buses to Bukovel from Lviv, with ticket prices starting at 250 UAH. If you are traveling with a group, it may be cost-effective to book a taxi, starting at 1700 UAH per car. Alternatively, you can arrange for a seat in a transfer, with ticket prices depending on the number of passengers in the car (ranging from 250-300 UAH per person).
You can also reach Yaremche by train from Lviv, but please note that it arrives late, at 21:00. In this case, you may need to spend the night in the city or arrange for a taxi (starting at 400 UAH per car). The distance from Lviv to Bukovel is 245 km.
Odesa - Bukovel
Odesa is the furthest major city from the resort in Ukraine, with a distance of 856 km. To reach Bukovel from Odessa, you'll need to make connections. First, you should travel to Lviv, and from there, you can continue your journey to Bukovel by bus or train.
Train options from Odessa to Lviv:
- Train 026 Sh: 12:00 hours on the way, compartment seat - 213 UAH per person.

Ternopil - Bukovel
From Ternopil, it's most convenient to take a train to Yaremche or Vorokhta. There are also direct buses available to Bukovel.

There are no direct trains from Kharkiv to the resort. You'll need to take a train to Lviv and then continue your journey to Bukovel by train or bus.
Uzhgorod - Bukovel
The most convenient way to reach the resort from Uzhgorod is to take a bus to Yaremche and transfer to a bus heading to Bukovel. Alternatively, you can take a train from Uzhgorod to Lviv.
Lutsk - Bukovel
There are no direct train or bus connections from Lutsk to Bukovel. We recommend traveling via Lviv.
Chernivtsi - Bukovel
The most cost-effective way to travel from Chernivtsi is by bus to Yaremche, where you can then transfer to transportation to Bukovel. Alternatively, you can take a train to Ivano-Frankivsk and proceed directly to the resort from there.
Dnipro - Bukovel
There are no direct trains to Bukovel from Dnipro. You should plan to travel via Lviv. Another convenient route is from Dnipro to Kiev and then onwards to Bukovel.

Yaremche - Bukovel
