Where is Nha Trang? A bit of history

To find out where Nha Trang is, you have to look to the very center of the country. There, in Khanh Hoa Province, 450 km from Ho Chi Minh City and 1300 km from Hanoi, this cozy town is located. The population of Nha Trang reaches 392 thousand people.

At the time of the French colonizers, the beauty of the bay and beaches with soft white sand were highly appreciated. From this very period, the city began its transformation into a resort area. Today, the city is one of the best resorts in Vietnam and is considered an important tourist destination.

Although Nha Trang was founded quite a long time ago, it was only in 1990 that it was able to become on par with such major resort cities as Cancun in Mexico or Phuket in Thailand. The local authorities have done a tremendous job on the development of the city's infrastructure. And the result was worth it.

Nha Trang today attracts a huge number of not only locals but also tourists from all over the world to see the long and beautiful bay, which is one of the top 29 most beautiful in the world, according to Travel + Leisure magazine.
