General information about Ischgl

Ischgl is located on the border between Austria and Switzerland, within the federal state of Tyrol. Ischgl's history as a ski resort began in the 1960s. Ischgl was originally founded as a future resort, and with each passing year, its popularity gained momentum. It is now one of the most famous resorts in Europe and is regularly visited by international stars.

Ischgl adjoins Silvretta, a major ski resort in Austria, and Switzerland's Samnaun. Their common ski area is a huge area with all the conditions for excellent skiing.

Ischgl is accessible from three airports - Innsbruck in Austria, Munich in Germany, and Zurich in Switzerland.

Austria's currency, like the rest of the European Union, is the euro (EUR).
