St. Anton is one of the most famous ski resorts in Austria. Together with Lech, Oberlech, Zürs, Stuben, Klosters, and a number of other resorts, it forms a single skiing region Arlberg, the total length of the slopes of which is about 500 kilometers.
Saint Anton is considered to be ideal for those who are confident on skis or board; beginners are better off choosing Lech for skiing. The longest piste in the region (more than 10 kilometers) originates at the top of Valluga (2811 meters). Among professionals, the "black" downhill piste Karl Schranz, laid through Gampen to the center of the resort, is popular. Freeriders love the slopes of the Valluga Grat ridge (2660 meters), as well as the Rendl and Albona areas.
There is a small fan park in St. Anton with a half-pipe, jumps, and rails. It is located on Mount Rendl, where the gondola of the same name runs from the center of the resort. There are tracks for sledding on trackless sleds (toboggans) on Gampen (4 kilometers), in the village of Petnoy am Arlberg (1.5 kilometers), and Strengen (1 kilometer).
There is an open-air ice rink in the center of the resort. You can also fly a paraglider, go sledding, play tennis and bowling alley, rock climbing.
