The terminus names are displayed on the windshields of the buses, and most routes pass through Bridgetown. Bus stops are marked with a red round sign reading BUS STOP. Most buses operate from 6 AM to 9 PM, and the fare for a ride is $1 USD (2 BBD).
Shuttle cabs are available within and between major cities. Shuttle cab drivers often drive quickly and attempt to pick up as many passengers as possible.
Taxis
Taxis in Barbados can be hailed on the street or booked in advance by phone. It's advisable to clarify the preferred currency for payment with the taxi driver beforehand to avoid any misunderstandings.
