The resort of Obzor is perfect for a family vacation. There are plenty of attractions, pools, go-kart tracks, and playgrounds. There are also wellness centers where respiratory diseases such as bronchitis and asthma are successfully treated. For those who love active leisure, there are opportunities for surfing, water skiing, scooter or catamaran rides, and parachute jumping. Obzor is also attractive for its prices, which are still relatively low compared to more popular Bulgarian resorts. Obzor is rich in interesting sights. The ruins of ancient structures have been preserved, such as the Temple of Jupiter built by the Romans in the 1st century BCE, and the Roman military fortress of Kozjak. Within the central resort park, columns of an ancient temple have been discovered, and nearby there is a beautiful Orthodox church. Near Obzor, on Cape Emine, you can see the ruins of the Bulgarian fortress of Emona and an old lighthouse. The village of Emona is also known for being the birthplace of King Rhesus, a Thracian warrior who participated in the Trojan War. The cultural center of Obzor is considered to be the House of Culture with a library of 17,000 volumes and a reading room (built in 1925 with the funds of local residents). The House of Culture hosts theater performances, concerts, and creative evenings.
