Mount Sinai

It is also the mountain of Moses and a legendary shrine for Christians, Muslims and Jews. According to legend, it was here that Moses received the Ten Commandments. The top of the mountain is a marvelous observation deck.

Streets and Squares

The city center is not the only notable place in Sharm el-Sheikh! We tell you about the main interesting streets and squares:

  • A cool place for young people is Naama Bay, one of the most famous and popular streets in the district of the same name. It's full of clubs, cafes, stores and restaurants.
  • Soho Square in Sharks Bay is a good place to walk, shop and relax in the evening. There is an ice rink and evening show programs.
  • El Salam Road is one of the busiest streets with masses of stores and restaurants, both tourist and local.
  • The Hadaba neighborhood is notable for its beautiful views. A great choice of where to go to admire the neighborhood.

Museums and exhibitions

Sharm el-Sheikh is not a museum center, but there is still plenty to see here! And here are the main museums to visit, especially if you have at least 2 days to spare:

  • The National Museum in Sharm el-Sheikh is still going strong, but is already definitely worth a visit. It is the first antiquities museum in South Sinai.

Monuments

In the center of the city there is a monument to Moses with a code of laws. The "Icon of Peace" memorial impresses with its scale, and it is the tallest work of art made of metal in the world. We also recommend visiting the memorial to the victims of the Boeing 737 airplane crash.

Viewing platforms

The main observation decks with magnificent views of the local nature are at Ras Mohammed Park and Mount Sinai. The former is good at sunset, while the latter is usually used to greet the sunrise.
