Tallin International Airport is the main base for Estonian airlines. It serves almost 2 million passengers annually. The airport is located about 4 km southeast of the city center, on the eastern shore of Lake Ülemiste.
How to get to the center of Tallinn from the airport
The duration of the trip to the city center by car is about 15 - 20 minutes, provided there are no major traffic jams.
Public transportation
Tram
The streetcar stop is opposite the exit from the passenger terminal.
Route: Tram line #4 connects the airport with the city center, the desired stop is called - Viru.
Schedule: The streetcar starts running from 5:25 am (from 5:45 am on Sundays). The last streetcar from the airport leaves at 0:45 am. More information about the stops can be found here.
You can buy a single-use ticket: from the driver, at a kiosk, special machines, or a QR ticket online (for more information, see here).
Cost: The price of a daily pass will cost you 3 EUR (1 EUR - QR ticket).
Bus
The travel time to the city center is about 20-25 minutes. The airport bus stops are located next to the streetcar stop.
Route: You can get to the city center by bus No. 2 (stops at Mõigu in the city center) and No. 65 (stops at Lasnamäe in the center).

Cost: The fare is 2 EUR. The methods of purchase are the same as for the streetcar.
Car Rental
The airport has car rental outlets from several companies, including: Hertz, Sixt, Avis, Budget, and Europcar. Their contact information can be found on the airport's website.
Cost: Prices for mid-range cars start from 29 EUR/day.
Transfer
By booking a transfer in advance (e.g., kiwitaxi), a driver will be waiting for you with a nameplate in the airport arrivals hall.
The cost of a car from Tallinn Airport to the center, port, or bus station starts from 21 EUR.
Taxi
From Tallinn Airport to the center, you can get to the center by cab. The parking lot is near the exit of the airport building.
Cost: A daytime trip (until 23:00) to the city center will cost you about 20 EUR, at night the cost increases slightly. It is recommended to check the fare in advance and, if possible, to check the route on a map.

How to get to the main bus station and train station
Bus
The travel time to the bus station is about 10 minutes.
- Route: You can use Line 2 or Line 4 to reach the main bus station - stop Bussijaam, and the train station - stop Balti jaam.
