Sydney Airport, called Kingsford Smith International Airport, is an international airport and the largest airport in Australia. It handled almost 32 million passengers in 2007, and passenger traffic is projected to be around 68 million passengers per year in 2020.
Sydney Airport is also one of the oldest operating airports in the world. The port was named in honor of Australian-born Charles Kingsford-Smith, the first pilot to fly across the Pacific Ocean.
