Tbilisi Shota Rustaveli International Airport is the most important airport in Georgia, capable of handling about 3 million passengers a year. This became possible after a grand reconstruction of the complex in 2007.
Pack your luggage in advance. Think about what things you will need during the flight, take them in your hand luggage, the rest you can safely send in your main baggage.
Prepare all documents. If traveling with children, make sure you take their passports, birth certificates and, if necessary, notarized exit permits.
Check-in and Arrival. More often than not, the recommended arrival time (roughly 2 hours before departure) is indicated on the tickets.
Check-in for your flight online. This is worth doing to save time and money. Find out if you need to print out your boarding pass or if it is enough to save it on an electronic media.
Find out how many terminals are in operation. If there are more than one, check on your ticket which one your flight will be from.
Purchased goods in TAX free stores. If you want to get a tax refund, arrive 2.5-3 hours in advance, as the procedure is quite bureaucratic and may take some time.
