The Megeve Nature Reserve at an altitude of 2,000 meters is a guarantee of an ideal Alpine holiday. A good tourist infrastructure, the best slopes for skiing and hiking, and beautiful landscapes await guests all winter long.

And in summer, visitors come here for the clean air, dense forests and comfort. The picturesque surroundings of the town overlooking Mont Blanc are beautiful in themselves. The Rothschild family, who founded the town, also left behind the old Chalet du Mont d`Arbois hotel.

The wooden chalets and the old church, the cathedral tower and other small but pleasant sights of Megeve are all attractive. Though, of course, they're not the point. It's more about the very atmosphere of luxury, tranquility and reliability that permeates the land itself.

Prices for trips to this region are quite high. On average you will pay about 900-1100 EUR for a tour. Hot tours can be much cheaper, especially if you choose your own itinerary, tickets and hotels.

Despite the relative youth of the resort, it has become famous as a high-end elite ski center. Politicians and stars come here, and the rates reflect that.

But locally, you can find everything your heart desires. This is a city that doesn't appreciate too much laid-back living. Dog sledding, skiing and snowboarding, paragliding, slaloms, freestyle skiing, summer hiking on the slopes and mountain trails are all on offer in the appropriate season.

Inexpensive hot trips to Megeve can go for discounts of up to 200-300 EUR, which means you can have a good vacation for around 700-800 EUR per person. Cheap tours are easier to find close to the trip. Or try to buy everything you need a month or two before your vacation.
