Public transportation
The most convenient way to reach the ski slopes is by rented car or cab. Transportation in Megève is usually provided by cars, shuttle buses, and even helicopters to reach this high mountain town.
Even under Mont Blanc there is a huge car tunnel that will allow you to get to Italy, for example for a tour, cars are the most common and usual transportation here.
The tunnel, by the way, is toll-free and will cost you about 40 EUR. Many hotels offer their own transportation, which you can use.
