Megève has about 20 ski equipment rental shops. If you book in advance, discounts of up to 40% are possible. Both alpine skis and snowboards are available for rent.
Online booking also provides additional discounts. In addition, you can often choose the equipment level — from basic to professional — as well as rent accessories such as helmets, poles, and protective gear. Special rates and children’s packages are available for families.
Since thousands of tourists visit Megève each season, snowboard rental is in high demand and is sometimes slightly cheaper than skis. For example, a basic package including a snowboard and boots costs 55–70 EUR for 1–2 days, while a ski set (skis + poles + boots) starts at 30–40 EUR per day for the basic level.
