Each country has its own peculiarities of stay, rules and regulations. In order not to get into serious trouble and not to cause negative emotions among the indigenous population of Malaysia, we advise you to familiarize yourself with the basic tips before coming to this country:
.Before entering a Malaysian temple, mosque or private home, it is a good idea to remove your head covering (men) as well as your shoes.
.When you come to visit, the host will certainly offer you a welcome drink, refuse which is very unseemly.
.In Malaysia, it is considered to be the height of indecency to point your finger at someone. It is also not appropriate to gesticulate a lot while communicating, to touch a person's head, to pass something with the left hand, or to shake hands with a member of the opposite sex.
.To save money on standard purchases such as water, toothpaste or sunglasses, you should buy them in a large supermarket rather than at the hotel.
.Even in large and elite restaurants, sanitary norms of food handling are often violated. In order not to catch an intestinal disease, we recommend you to be very careful when choosing a place to eat.
.For your own safety, you should not come to Malaysia alone, especially women.
.Personal belongings should not be left unattended.
.Carry copies of valuable documents with you and keep the originals separately.
