Somorostro
This beach is connected to Barcelonaeta and carries all the pros and cons. It was part of it until recently, when the city council decided to split it in two. In the past, it was a deserted area with minimal population.
Things only changed when the Olympic Games took place in 1992, when big investments were made here. Today, Somorostro has a well-deserved reputation as one of the most cosmopolitan beaches in the city. Not to mention the fact that it is located near the Olympic port, with skyscrapers and luxury hotels towering over it.
At the service of vacationers there are lifeguards and paramedics, police, equipped showers, toilets, children's corner, library, rental of deck chairs and umbrellas, changing room with lockers, open-air gym, beach volleyball areas restaurants and bars.
San Miguel
Barcelona's San Miguel beach is a small stretch of sand, no more than 430 meters long and 70 meters wide. Its name comes from the Catholic church built here in 1755.
Despite its modest size, the beach is very popular among tourists, thanks to its central location and the availability of nice amenities: parking, information boards, public toilets, wooden deck leading to the water, garbage cans, etc. The ever-frolicking St. Miguel also attracts many tourists with the opportunity not only to bask in the sun, but also to sample a variety of fish and seafood dishes in excellent restaurants.
The beach of Sant Miguel is fully adapted for people with disabilities: convenient ramps are everywhere.
Bogatel
Bogatel Beach is known for its calm atmosphere and cleanliness, making it a popular destination for family vacations and sports activities.
This beach is located to the northeast of Barceloneta Beach. Nearby there is a sandy shore of about 600 meters, promenades with bike paths and sports areas for volleyball and other active games. The beach also has sunbed and umbrella rental, showers, toilets and changing rooms, lifeguard stations and first aid stations.
