Tossa de Mar

An ideal place for lovers of quiet vacations and families with children: there are three large sandy beaches and few noisy discos. However, the sea may not be warm enough for kids, as the Costa Brava is the coolest coast of Spain.

Those who prioritize swimming and sunbathing will find Mar Gran, Mar Menuda and El Codolar beaches. During the season, all of them are full of vacationers, but you can rent a boat and move to one of the secluded bays, which are abundant in the vicinity of the resort.

The main attraction of Tossa is the fortress Vila Vella, built in the XII century for protection from pirates. Inside is the Museu Municipal, one of the best art museums in Spain. The collection is diverse: from Roman mosaics to Chagall paintings.

How to get there? The resort is located 105 kilometers from Barcelona airport. The only way to cover this distance quickly is to take a cab (about €100), to save money you can first get to Barça, from there take a train to Blanes and then take a bus through Lloret de Mar.

Lloret de Mar

Lloret de Mar is a universal resort, families with children, party people and elderly people are equally happy to vacation here. One of the reasons for its popularity is its excellent beaches. The longest of them is Lloret (1.5 kilometers), the calmest sea is Santa Cristina, protected by two hills, the most picturesque is Boadella.

Tarragona

Alicante

And here's what you should leave them for a while and go for a walk: Santa Barbara Fortress, MACA Museum of Modern Art, which collection includes paintings by Dali and Picasso, Explanada de España alley, Mercado Central market, St. Nicholas Cathedral, Gothic Basilica of St. Mary, City Hall.

How to get there? The most convenient option is to buy air tickets directly to Alicante, without having to fly to Barcelona or other cities with train or bus connections.

Torrevieja

The climate of Torrevieja is also attractive: it is never too hot (average summer temperature +25 °C). The sun shines 320 days a year, and it never rains for more than two days in a row.

The main beach of the resort is La Cura. It is small, only 375 meters long and 20 meters wide, so in season it is difficult to find a free place here. On the outskirts of the city is the famous lake Salada de Torrevieja, whose water turns pink in the sunset sun. It is similar to the Dead Sea in Israel in terms of therapeutic properties of water and mud. Not far from Torrevieja there is an interesting National Park Molino del Agua.

How to get there? The nearest international airport is in Alicante. There are buses from there that will get you there in 50 minutes and €11.

Benidorm

The most partying of the beach resorts and the most beachy of the party resorts in Spain! It is often called "Spain's Las Vegas" for its abundance of clubs, bars, casinos and discos. Fuengirola

This town has retained the spirit of the typical fishing village it was not so long ago. A quarter of Fuengirola's population is foreigners, most of whom come from Argentina, Morocco and Scandinavia. The resort attracts lovers of comfortable beach vacations, hiking and picturesque landscapes.

Fuengirola's beaches are considered to be among the best in Spain and are constantly awarded the "Blue Flag" for cleanliness. How to get there? The closest airport to the resort is Málaga Airport. Every 20-35 minutes there is a comfortable train from there to Fuengirola, which will take you there in half an hour, the ticket costs about €6. Marbella

How to get there? The resort is located 45 kilometers from Malaga airport. You can take a cab (about €60) or take a bus that leaves every 2 hours (ticket costs about €10).

Nerja

According to many tourists, this is a sleepy town where nothing happens, and for longer than a day, there is no reason to stay in Nerja. Yes, it will be boring for fans of dancing till morning and noisy companies, but those who prefer to rest in silence, will hardly exchange this resort for any other. There are no modern hotel complexes here, so tourists stay in apartments.

There are 15 beaches along 16 kilometers of coastline. The most visited are Torrecilla and Burriana. Nudists rest on Alberquillas, hidden from prying eyes in the greenery of trees.

During a walk around the city it is worth looking at the observation deck with the loud name "Balcony of Europe".
