Speaking of the United Kingdom. Many people immediately think of England, but the United Kingdom is also Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. And each of these regions has a lot of interesting things for its guests. So what to do as a tourist visiting the rank and file of the British?
As formulaic as such advice may seem, but the London is worth a visit, because the English capital has absorbed all the best that can be offered to a traveler. Museums, galleries, pubs and bars, parks and palaces - here English life will appear before you from the most different angles.
Take a ride on the London Eye Ferris wheel for a view of London, or visit a couple or three of the capital's famous museums like the Victoria and Albert Museum, the British Museum or the Tate Gallery for an hour or two in the company of the world's masterpieces. If you want to tickle your nerves and learn about the dark history of London's slums, no problem! The show "London Dungeons" is exactly what you need: Jack the Ripper, Sweeney Todd and many other bloody and horrible personalities performed by actors under impressively realistic special effects - the intensity of emotions is guaranteed! (Read more about the show here).
And if your budget is a bit limited, you can see many of the sights of Britain's capital for free. You can read more about them here.
What is England without English pubs? The tradition of sitting in these establishments can only be compared to the tea tradition of Japan: here, as there, too, there is its own philosophy and its own traditions. For example, only beer was (and still is) served in pubs for centuries, though you will not be offended by the assortment, don't worry. But new-fashioned introductions like coffee, cider or juice are rather a forced tribute to the requirements of the time. That's why you should order only foamy beverage in a pub and only it! And every English pub is also a unique atmosphere, which you can catch only after sitting in it and draining a couple or three pints of ale.
To get acquainted with the English beer tradition (and history at the same time) we advise you to visit Olde Trip to Jerusalem pub, where Crusaders are said to have stayed, or Olde Cheshire Cheesee, a favorite of Mark Twain and Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. The Old Bank of England or The George are also atmospheric.
The Cotswolds is a very picturesque and atmospheric area of England in the county of Gloucestershire. You should definitely go here, because only here you will see a real English province of XVII-XVIII centuries (with fabulous stone cottages buried in variegated gardens), beautiful nature and winding paths that beckon you to take a walk. Chipping Hampton, Beebury, Birmford, Chipping Camden are the most beautiful of the local villages and towns.

All the beauty of wild Wales is concentrated in this national park, named after the highest mountain, Snowdon. Here you can not only relax (the park has many equipped hiking and biking trails of varying difficulty), but also just wander through the magnificent forests and hills, and the most courageous can climb Snowdon, which does not require any special skills and experience.
The history of Wales is as interesting and rich as that of other parts of the United Kingdom. You can learn more about it and the traditions of life and life of the Welsh (as the people of Wales are called) at the St. Fagans Museum. Here, on the grounds of the castle of the same name, there are real houses and buildings of the past centuries, which were brought here from all corners of the region.
Whether there are ghosts in the castles of Scotland or not, we will not guess. But you should definitely go on a tour to the residences of the Scottish nobility, if only for the beauty of these very residences. Ancient and not so ancient, severe and elegant, impregnable and romantic - Scottish castles will conquer you at first sight. Medieval Beaumaris and Caerphilly, majestic Carnarvon and impregnable Conway, beautiful Harlech and, of course, the famous Cardiff - these are just some of the architectural gems of regton.

Bath is nestled among the seven hills of Somerset County. The former Roman thermal spa is now a museum in Georgian and Palladian style. Two architectural monuments stand out here: the Circus - a perfectly round street with residential buildings, the prototype of which was the Roman Colosseum, and the Royal Crescent - on the "greatest street in Britain" still filmed most of the costume dramas, including those based on the famous novels of Jane Austen.
If you are going to visit the land of aristocratic Britons, don't forget to take care of convenient air tickets in advance.
Enjoy your trip!
