Trakai Castle, Trakai, Lithuania

This majestic structure is located 30 kilometers from the Lithuanian capital, in the town of Trakai, which was once the capital of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania. The powerful fortress castle, located on the shore of Lake Galve, has never fallen to the enemy. It was started to be built in the XIV century and finished during the reign of the famous Lithuanian prince Vitovt. It was one of the most impregnable fortresses in Eastern Europe.

The LVM Pokaiņi forest, Dobele, Latvia
