Located in the heart of the Four Valleys ski region, nestled on Mont Faure at altitudes ranging from 1400 to 3300 meters above sea level, and situated at the base of Mount Tracouet, you'll find one of the finest ski resorts - Nenda. More precisely, Nenda is situated in the Rhone Valley, approximately 15 kilometers from Sion.
While the exact founding date of Nenda is challenging to pinpoint, historical records trace its existence back to as early as 984. The resort is a part of the canton of Valais, which joined the Swiss Confederation in 1815. Prior to that, the region was governed by a confederation of communities known as the Republic of the Seven Tens. Nenda's history is closely intertwined with the life of these communities, as evidenced by the presence of numerous traditional wooden buildings that still grace the resort's landscape.
