After arriving at Bangkok airport, tourists often need to plan their route to their hotel. This article will guide you on how to get from different airports to the center of Bangkok.
How to Get to Bangkok from Suvarnabhumi Airport
You have several options to travel from Suvarnabhumi Airport to the center of Bangkok, where most hotels are located:
- Airport Rail Link
- By Bus
- Free Shuttle
- By Transfer
- By Taxi
The station is located on the underground floor of the airport.
Routes #549, 550, 551, 552, 552A, 554, 555, 556, 559 depart near the terminal exit. The cost ranges from 25 to 35 Thai Baht (THB).
The shuttle stop is on the first floor of the airport building. The shuttle follows a set route with a terminus at Bangkok South Bus Terminal.
Booking a shuttle in advance means you don't have to worry about getting to your hotel.
Taxi
Taking a metered taxi will cost you less. You can find one in the following ways:
- Go to the first floor of the airport
- Go to the top floor
At the counter, specify your destination, receive a receipt, and give it to the driver. At the end of the trip, you'll pay the metered fare plus 50 Thai Baht (THB) for the highway.
You can try to catch cabs that are dropping off passengers at the airport (although officially this is not allowed, it's a common practice).
