Khao Takiab Mountain

The height of Khao Takiab is 300 meters, and it is located 3 km from the central part of the city. The mountain is a must-visit as this attraction combines with:

  • Take advantage of songteo services. The fare is 10 THB. But the transportation doesn't stop near Khao Takiab, but follows the main highway. You will still have to walk the last section of the road.

Hin Lek Fai Mountain

Hin Lek Fai is ideal for relaxation and a peaceful vacation. From its summit, the resort lies in the palm of your hand. In addition, there is a beautiful bamboo park, which makes sunsets and sunrises even more beautiful. The climb up the mountain is quite steep.

Hin Lek Fai lies on the western side of Hua Hin. You can get there by car or motorcycle. Check with the town for rental prices.

Palau Falls

It is located 60 km from the resort right in the jungle. The waterfall is complex - as many as 16 levels of water flows. At the bottom of the waterfall there are several pools. You can swim in them.

The adjacent territory abounds with exotic representatives of flora and fauna. To see the waterfall, you have to pay 200 THB for admission.

Here is the world's largest statue of Lungpo Thot, a saint who lived more than 400 years ago. He was highly revered in Thailand.

Hua Hin Palaces

Maruekkatayawan Castle

The palace was the first residence of state rulers. The building was constructed in 1921 for King Rama VI. The material from which the royal palace is made is teak. It is striking with a blend of Victorian style and Thai motifs.

Translated, the name means "Free from worries." The building was constructed in the early twentieth century. The main architect was from Spain, so the palace was built in the Spanish traditional style. It was used as a residence for the ruler Rama VII.

  • Today, the castle is occasionally visited by the current King of Thailand and his family.

Floating Market

It was built quite recently, and specifically for vacationers. It is located in the western part of Hua Hin. The floating market looks like a real exotic:

  • catamarans and animal-shaped boats.

The market sells all the same things as in the town. However, the feeling of being there is quite different. You can get to the place by following the signposts.

Railroad Station

The railway station was built on November 25, 1911. Today, it epitomizes the architectural and historical value of Hua Hin Resort. Nearby, in 1920, the Royal Waiting Room was erected. Golden teak was used for construction. The main feature of the station is the ancient steam locomotive standing next to it.

Where to be found. The landmark can be found at the end of Damnernkasem Rd, on the west side of the street.

Hotel Sofitel Centara Grand Resort

The hotel was erected in 1923. Previously, it was called differently - the Railway Hotel. Externally, the building managed to preserve its unique architecture. Today the hotel welcomes guests, but the price for accommodation is quite high.

Where it is located. The hotel is located in the central part of the city.

Hua Hin Farm

It too was built specifically to attract vacationers. Everything here is stylized to look like the old days:

  • the mill;
  • wood and brick cabins;
  • livestock corrals.

The farm sells various little things for home comfort, toys.

Where it is located. The estate of agricultural importance is located 50 meters from the floating market.

Plern Van Retro Village

The Retro Village, which is on the main highway, will take you back 30-50 years. Notably, some of the merchandise is not for sale, but as part of an antique collection:

  • retro cars;
  • ancient gasoline dispenser;
  • century-old telephone sets;
  • televisions from the 1970s and 1980s;
  • Posters of famous performers from the era.

The atmosphere is kept alive by 70s and 80s music blasting from local cafes and stores. The wooden two-story building features a Ferris wheel and children's rides.
