The Lviv railway station is the station of the station "Lviv" and the main station of the Lviv railroad. It was opened in 1904 and was the first on the territory of modern Ukraine. Lviv station was very damaged during various disasters and by the 100th anniversary, in 2003, it was completely restored. The building of the station has preserved its European charm and grandeur. Inside, the walls are decorated with exquisite stained glass and stucco. A metal-and-glass debarkade rises above the platform.
In the premises of the railway station of Lviv are located: one ticket office, six waiting rooms of different comfort, VIP-lounge, hall for official delegations, three cafes, rest rooms, hairdresser's, pharmacy and newsstands. The building has five perons and eight coliseums.
The luggage room works round the clock (2 stationary and 2 automatic), the cost from 20 UAH/day (depending on the size of luggage).
Where to eat
The cafe "Batkivska Hata" is located on the territory of the station, which will treat you with traditional Ukrainian dishes. A few meters from the exit from the building there is a cafe-bistro "Lvivs'kyi potyag", where Galician and European dishes are presented. The institution is open round the clock. Fans of fast food can look in the nearest McDonald's, which is located in 25 minutes on foot from the railway station, at the address: Svobody Avenue, 35.
